Price VS Value
Let me start this off by saying price and value are two completely different things. Price isn’t determined by value; it’s determined by the intersection of supply and demand. Value plays into that, by determining what the demand part is. Value is the perceived benefits received over the perceived price paid.
When shopping for new carpet, keep in mind that buying the cheap stuff will usually (not always) end up with cheap-quality products. In other words, you get what you paid for. Value, however, can be a better quality product priced well below its worth. Value could be set at any price point.
Shopping solely on price may cause the buyer to overlook other traits that add value to a product in terms of service, location, or comfort. "Value" is a much more complete word, whilst "price" is simply a component of value.
